Breakfast with Santa

This is an extremely popular event, especially for the younger ones. Come and have breakfast with Santa on Saturday 12th December. Tickets only £3.50 per child and this fun morning includes breakfast, arts and crafts, gift and photo with Santa. See your Class Reps for tickets.

Bath Shopping Trip

A great day out to get all your Christmas shopping done. We are going to Bath this year so please join us on Saturday 28th November. Tickets £12 per person and available from the PTA now

What a great turnout last night for the Spooky disco and some fantastic costumes.

Next on the calendar is the Bath Shopping Trip which will be on 28th November with the Christmas markets available.

This is a popular social event for parents so make sure you get your tickets as soon as they are available.

PTA AGM

It's was that time of year when we get together for the AGM and put ideas forward for fundraising for the coming year. A few new comers to the meeting showing their support for vital fundraising for the school. The donation to the school was discussed with funds helping towards ICT equipment and KS2 books. Some money already received from the PTA was used for the Infants new fort.
Dates to put in your diary for the next few months

• Spooky Thursday Halloween Disco will be on 22nd October in the school hall

• Bath Shopping Trip will be on 28th November and the Christmas markets will be on so make sure you get your tickets for this popular trip. (ticket prices & times to follow)
• Breakfast with Santa (a must for the younger ones) is on 12th December.
  Tickets £3.50 per child and includes photo and gift from Santa. Breakfast along with arts and crafts is included for the children. Tickets and details available soon.
• Summer Ball 2010 - following the huge success of the summer ball in 2008 we have decided to put on another one in 2010. Dates have not yet been decided but we will let you know as soon as possible.

Welcome back to the new term, where did those six and a half weeks go?
Oh yes, they got washed away with all the rain!
Hope you all able to have an enjoyable holiday anyway.

Annual General Meeting for the PTA will be held on
Monday 28th September at 7.00pm.
Please note that the first meeting of the year is always held in the school and we welcome new (and old) parents to every meeting.

RUGBY FUN NIGHT 26th JUNE

Come along and enjoy a family night of fun and sport on Friday 26th June at 5.30pm - school sports field (by monument). Suitable for boys and girls of all ages (siblings welcome). BBQ and refreshments available.
£1 entry per child

SCHOOL FETE

THE SCHOOL FETE WILL NOW START AT 11am . Still looking for help and donations to ensure this event is successful.
Items needed - sweet mugs, books, stuff for shiny stall, bottles of wine, nail varnish, bric-a-brac and tins of food.

School Fete

The school fete will be held on Saturday 4th July and will start at the later time of 1.00pm. Remember to put the date in your diary. A lot of time and effort goes into making sure each event is a success and the help of parents is needed to man stalls at the fete. The PTA would be grateful if you could put forward your help as we have about 20 stalls to cover. Let a PTA member at the school know or email us at pontyclunpta@hotmail.co.uk if you can help out.
We would be grateful if you could donate items for the stalls this year. Items needed are:-

• Face Painters
• Sweet Mugs - mugs filled with sweets and wrapped
• Books
• Anything that can be used on the Shiny Stall (unused toiletries, purfume, manicure sets, etc. anything really)
• Bottles of Wine
• Tins of Food
• Nail Varnish (doesn't matter if used)
• Bric a Brac

The fete may also include a fancy dress parade around the village as last year and this will be confirmed closer to the time. Look forward to all your help!!

NEXT MEETING

Next PTA meeting will be on Tuesday 21st April. Meet 7.30pm in the Athletic Club entrance. Hope we can continue to get more support.

Hi and welcome back to the new term, although Christmas now seems like a distant memory, we sure hope you all had a good one!
We have more great fundraised activities planned for the coming months which the children are sure to enjoy and as always helps with much needed funds for your child’s school. Please make sure you put the dates in your diary so you don’t miss out.
Monies raised by the PTA help with purchasing school materials not funded by the LEA.

Valentine’s Disco
Friday 13th February in the School Hall. Infant disco is 5pm til 6.15pm and Junior disco is 6.30pm til 8pm, £2 per child on the door
INFANTS: Parental supervision is required and essential for the infant children. JUNIORS:Parents to pick up at the door at 8pm

EASTER EGG HUNT
The ever popular Easter Egg Hunt will take place on Saturday 28th March 9.30am – 11.30am in and around the school. Tickets are £2 per child (inc prize) and will be available shortly from your class Reps.

PLANNED FOR THE SUMMER - Oompah Night
This event was enjoyed by all last time so we will be looking to plan this again for the summer. Watch this space for further info.
