Infants 5.00pm - 6.15pm
Juniors 6.30pm - 8.00pm

Entry £2 each on the door
Tuck shop, party games and disco

Parental supervision will be necessary for infants.
Juniors will not be allowed to leave without a parent present.

If you have any decorations left over that we could use to decorate the school hall, we would be grateful if you could donate these on Monday 1st November

Meeting on 11th October

What a nice friendly evening. We had a chat about some upcoming events and new ideas for the coming year. After a hefty agenda to attend to Carys had baked us a beautiful cake which went down well with a nice warm cuppa.

Thanks Carys for the cake and for everyone else for your support. It is much appreciated as we cannot help the school without you.

Carys Groves has been appointed as the new Chairperson, with Sandra Jones and Sian Clarke continuing as Secretary and Treasurer. As there is a new Chair of the PTA forward planning for fundraising was not discussed at the last meeting.

Goodbye Ceri

It is with great sadness that this year we see our long serving Chair, Ceri Robson, step down from the PTA. Ceri has dedicated over 7 years to the PTA and fundraising for the school and her efforts have definitely not gone unnoticed by the school, teachers, parents and children. In 2008 Ceri gave her undivided attention to organising a school ball that raised a whopping £8,000, the most ever raised in the history of the PTA and as a result we were able to donate a large amount to the school which helped with the purchase of the much loved Fort, in the Infants playground.

The members of PTA, Teachers, Assistants and Parents would like to thank Ceri for such a fantastic job and she will be greatly missed.

this years PTA AGM will be on Tuesday 28th September in the SCHOOL. Please arrive at the school office at 7.00pm and get involved with our fundraising schedule for this academic year. Everyone is welcome and we are always looking for new ideas and suggestions to make the fundraising successful.

Year 6 Leavers Prom NIght

Every year our fantastic PTA organise a prom night for the year 6 children who are about to move onto comprehensive school. The children really enjoy it, and have asked me to say a huge thank you to the PTA, they had a ball!!

SCHOOL FETE

The school fete will be on Saturday 10th July and will start at 11.00am. The help of parents is needed to ensure this event is a success. We have plenty of stalls to cover so let any PTA member at the school know you are free or email pontyclunpta@hotmail.co.uk with your details.
We would also be grateful if you could donate items for the stalls this year and the items needed are:-
• Sweet Mugs – mugs filled with sweets and wrapped in film
• Books
• Anything suitable for the Shiny Stall (unused toiletries, perfume manicure sets etc. anything really that can be wrapped in shiny stuff)
• Face Painters
• Bottles of wine
• Tins of food
• Nail Varnish (doesn’t matter if used)
• Bric a Brac

Please bring items into the school office by 6th July.

If anyone would like to have a table at the fete to sell their own products the fee is £10 per table and needs to be booked in advance

For the Grand Summer Ball taking place this year on 18th June, we have secured an excellent accommodation rate of £65 per room including breakfast at the 4 star Vale Resort.

New Year Update

After all the mayhem of the snow Christmas is now long forgotten, so a belated happy new year to you all. We will shortly be posting pictures of the Spooky Disco and letting you see our class reps so you can identify us at the school.We've had our new year meeting and are ready to give you some information on past events and dates for forthcoming events.

• Bath Shopping Trip
  An enjoyable day had by all. We raised £135
  
• Nursery Calendars
  Calendars are going to be done each year for the new Nursery Classes and this year we raised £158. Hope you all liked the picture!
  
• Valentine's Disco
  Thursday 11th February in the school hall
  Infants 5pm - 6.15pm (parental supervision required)
  Juniors 6.30pm - 8pm (children will not be allowed out without parents present)
  Tickets £2 per child on the door
  
• Easter Egg Hunt
  Dates being considered at the moment are 20th or 27th March. Once decided we will let you know and let you know when tickets are on sale.
  
• GRAND SUMMER BALL
  This was such a successful event the first time we did this in 2008 that we have all agreed to put on this event again at the Vale Resort.
  Friday 18th of June is the date that has been set so please put this in your diary and come and have a fantastic evening with a 3 course dinner, dancing, a raffle and an amazing auction with some high profile lots up for grabs.
  Tickets will be £35 per person and we have secured a deal for accommodation at £65 per room including breakfast.
  If you have friends or family that do not have children in the school that's not a problem, everyone is welcome.
  We would welcome raffle prize donations of any kind such as a photo session, days out, personalised celebration cakes, shopping vouchers etc. anything that any parent can donate will surely boost raffle sales and raise funds for your childs school.
  
• School Summer Fete
  Saturday 3rd July at the school. Lots of fun things for the children to enjoy.
  
• Year 6 end of School Party
  Friday 9th July
